What are some of the most unbelievable and amazing cricket facts?

How about - Donald Bradman hit just six sixes in his entire Test career!
Pretty crazy considering this is a man with a test batting average of 99.94 and is often hailed as possibly the best test batsman ever.
5 of them were against England and the other 1 was against India.
Worth mentioning that he did however also hit a staggering 618 fours in Test cricket.
Fact 2:
Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram’s highest Test score of 257 is higher than Sachin Tendulkar's highest test score of 248.
To make things even more interesting is the fact the Wasim hit 12 sixes during his inningswhich meant that not only did he break the world record for the most sixes by any player in a single test innings BUT Wasim Akram also managed to hit double the amount of sixes in a single innings that Donald Bradman hit over his entire career.
Despite Wasim’s great achievements as a fast bowler, I bet you this is one of the statistics that puts the biggest smile on his face - we all know how well fast bowlers and batsman get along.
And finally, my 3rd and Final Fact:
In 2004 against the West Indies, Freddie Flintoff achieved his highest test score with the bat of 167.
It was a very suspicious 167 if you ask me because en route to this massive total - Freddie was dropped. The big question that I’m asking is whether Freddie Flintoff was dropped on purpose or not?!?
As his innings progressed, Flintoff’s confidence grew and in typical Flintoff fashion, midway through his innings, Freddie decided doubled down and went for a six. The ball went high into the stands where a middle-aged man in the middle of a crowd of 20,000, jumped to his feet to take the catch.
There was no sun in his eyes and the ball came directly at him – for all intents and purposes the catch was a sitter.
But.. he dropped it!!
The middle-aged man turned out to be Flintoff’s dad.
The rest as they say is history and after conveniently dropping the sitter of a catch, the middle aged man’s son went on to reach his highest test score ever.
Now if that’s not suspicious behavior, I don’t know what is!!
Hope you enjoyed them!
