Being one of the greatest batmen of all time (being only behind Bradman in my opinion, he really was a great example of the spirit of cricket. That being said he owns almost every batting record worth owning, these include,
Leading run scorer in Tests - 15,921 runs
Leading run scorer in ODIs - 18,426 runs
First Indian to score 50,000 runs in all forms of domestic and international recognised cricket so that’s List A, T20, First Class, Test, ODI and T20i
He has played the most test matches (200) and the most number of ODIs (463)
Most test centuries (51) AND most ODI centuries (49) and naturally most combined between the two (100)
He was also the first to score an ODI double hundred
Now I am sure he holds a few other records, however I feel these are his greatest achievments
