Zlatan to me is the uncrowned king of European and world football, the enigmatic Swedish striker is the only sportsman on earth that is greater than the sport he plays.
What more can I say of Zlatan.
He has done a great job in his autobiography “I am Zlatan”.
How a player's name became a verb in his own country's dictionary, I can't understand…
How he also “Zlatanished” the French people and they made a Swedish name became a verb in the French dictionary, is still beyond what my dull faculties can comprehend…
Even King “Pele”in all his fame ,glory and conquest wasn't added as a verb in the Brazilian dictionary- though no one else deserve this honour than the King of soccer.
Even “Maradona” wasn't a verb or an adverb in the Argentine daily lexicon.
Though I still remember as a child growing up, we use the word maradona and it means a Con, a deceiver, a smooth operator, a clever dribbler and a person full of wits.
If any sportsman deserve this accolade bestowed on Zlatan, then is none other than the 2 legends of soccer; Pele and Maradona.
Zlatan sees himself as a god, as he works out to make sure his actions matches his words.
He has won the league with 7 different football clubs in a career laden with trophy.
Though he didn't win the UCL trophy nor the world cup.
The acrobatic and special goals he scores on the pitch can be done by none other but Zlatan.
He's not afraid to say what is in his mind, and Jose Mourinho likes him for that.
The self-acclaimed “Special One” whispered to Zlatan's wife when he first her….
He said… “Your one and only job is to feed him, make him happy and see.he gets good rest, he's special and says what is in his mind, I like him for that”
Arsene Wenger asked him to come for trials at Arsenal football club when he was but 18, he simply replied.. “ No, Zlatan doesn't do auditions “ - this one gets me laughing all the time.
